About me
Beatrice Grace Lucienne Massey (Bea)
Born and raised in Cardiff, circa 2005.
I love Film and TV and going to the cinema, but I also have grown up loving the theatre; watching plays, musicals, operas, and ballets (mainly with my mum). This is a big reason why I have chosen to go down this career path! I would love to one day take my parents to see a set I have worked on, on a big stage or screen.

Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, Foundation Degree in Scenic Construction (2023-2025)

Work experience:
Freelance commission work for a friend drawing up and CNCing a custom archway for his daughters bedroom.
RWCMD freelance work over the course of my degrees building armatures for Rorie Brophy, and working several open days as a student ambassador.
Production 78 freelance work for two days in 2025 building two specialised ramps for slanted steel deck.
D&B Solutions placement for 4 weeks in 2025 working in their workshop doing a mixture of carpentry, painting, veneering, and organising and loading sets.
Sherman Theatre freelance work for 2 weeks in 2024 Get in of their Christmas show.
Sherman Theatre placement for 5 weeks in 2024 working in their workshop on various projects.
Cardiff Theatrical Services placement for 4 weeks in 2024 working in carpentry on theatre sets, making floors with cloud 9 insulation, and dry fitting sets.
Bay Productions placement for 5 weeks in 2024 working in fabrication learning and practicing welding, cutting prepping and tac welding set pieces, and welding hand railings for the building.

Retail assistant at Nest in Rhiwbina for 9 months, 2021-2022
Volunteer retail assistant at a local Barnardo’s for 7 months, 2021-2022
I also have experience working with children as a ‘teaching assistant like role’ at the primary school my Mum works at, and on a project I did for my degree where I worked with the drama and art department of my old secondary school.
Additionally I have worked multiple open days for RWCMD and made promotional videos for their social media.
